What’s the difference between stock, semi-custom, and fully custom cabinets?

Stock cabinets are mass-produced in standard sizes—you choose from what’s available. Semi-custom cabinets offer limited options within standard sizes (taller cabinets, wider configurations). Fully custom cabinets are designed specifically for your space and needs. Every dimension, detail, and feature is customized to your requirements.

How do you measure for custom cabinets?

We conduct a detailed in-home measurement. We measure wall dimensions, note any angles or imperfections, locate plumbing and electrical, and photograph the space. Old homes especially often have walls that aren’t perfectly square—our precise measurements account for these variables.

Can I customize the interior of my cabinets?

Yes! Pull-out shelving, drawer dividers, specialty organizers, soft-close hinges, lighting, and dozens of other interior options are available. We design interiors around your specific storage needs.

What if I don’t like my design after we’ve submitted it?

Before manufacturing begins, changes are typically possible. Once manufacturing starts, changes become very expensive. That’s why we work with you extensively during the design phase to ensure you’re completely happy before we move forward. FAQ: Materials & Finishes

What if my walls aren’t square (older home)?

This is common in older homes. Our custom cabinets are designed and built to fit your specific space—including walls that aren’t perfectly square. This is one advantage of fully custom cabinetry.

Can you work with my architect or builder?

Absolutely! We regularly work with architects, designers, and contractors. We can integrate our work into larger projects and coordinate with other trades.

Can I have matching cabinets throughout my home (kitchen, bathroom, built-ins)?

What wood species do you recommend?

What’s the difference between solid wood and veneer?

Solid wood is carved from a single piece of wood. Veneer is a thin layer of real wood glued to plywood substrate. Veneer is more stable (resists warping) and can be more economical, but solid wood has traditional prestige. Both can be beautiful and durable.

What paint and stain options are available?

We work with professional-grade paints and stains in virtually unlimited colors. We can color-match to your preferences, or you can select from popular palettes. All finishes are sealed with durable polyurethane for protection.

How do you protect wood in wet environments (kitchens, bathrooms)?

Do you offer cabinet refacing?

Yes! If your cabinet boxes are in good condition but you want an updated look, refacing is a great option. We replace doors, hardware, and finishes while keeping existing boxes.

How long does installation take?

Can I have cabinets installed while my home is occupied?

Yes. We work to minimize disruption. For kitchens, we can work in phases or schedule evening/weekend installation if needed. We’ll coordinate a schedule that works for you.

What if you discover problems during installation (like water damage or incorrect wall)?

We inspect the space carefully during measurement. If unexpected issues arise during installation, we discuss options and costs with you before proceeding.

Care & Warranty

How do I care for my custom cabinets?

What if a drawer stops working or a hinge breaks?

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers defective materials, poor manufacturing, and installation defects. It doesn’t cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage from external causes.

What happens if there’s a defect?
